'Men in Black' producers have revealed that the next franchise will feature a lead woman.
In an interview, 'MIB' producer Laurie MacDonald said that there would be a prominent woman in black in the fourth film, adding that the franchise would finally rectify the gender balance, The Independent reports.
MacDonald said that they were looking at a reinvention, adding that they sort of look at the first three in retrospect as a bit of trilogy.
The first franchise ended with Linda Fiorentino's Deputy Medical Examiner, Laurel Weaver, joining the team as Agent J's (Will Smith) new partner in the wake of Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones)'s return to civilian life.
