Priceless Possessions and Olive Bar and Kitchen are organising a special evening of Fashion and Luxury to raise awareness against girl child sexual abuse, "Men n Fashion" on Thursday, April 7th 2016 at Olive Bar and Kitchen, Mehrauli, New Delhi with support from the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry, IFCCI.

"All a Girl or a Woman wants is to be treated with equal respect & dignity. Given an equal opportunity and given a safe environment, a girl can grow up to be a strong and responsible woman who is an asset to her family, society as well as the nation, just like a Man. The harsh reality is a drastic increase in sexual abuse of the girl child, especially in the lowest strata of the society. Through this event, we are trying to raise concern and request the worthy Men to take a pledge to sensitise the men around them, be it their driver, peon, guard, etc and tell them to "Be a Man"," says Poonam Kumar, CEO, Priceless Possessions.

"We are happy to be associated with fashion in a way that it will bolster an earnest initiative to raise awareness against abuse of the girl child. We believe this initiative is a good step towards achieving equal respect & dignity for the girl child in the near future", saysOlive.

We say, Men of Substance never go out of Fashion!, the evening will also present some of the latest Fashion & Luxury trends for all the influential Men at the event. The luxury brands associated are Chivas & Jacob's Creek from the house of Pernod Ricard India Pvt Ltd., who are also the title sponsors of the event, along with bespoke luxury holidays by Abercrombie & Kent Vacations, The Smoke Company and Mantra Vedic Spa & Salon. Our Fashion Partners include French Brand CELIO and talented young designers of FDCI & Lakme Fashion Week, Josh Goraya, Dhruv Vaish & Manish Bansal.

We take immense pleasure in sharing that our initiative is very well received and we have eminent personalities lending a hand including Cricketers Atul Wasan, Mohd. Kaif, Industrialist Sanjeev Bilji, PVR Pictures, Sudhir Sobti, Delhi Tourism & Rajiv Makhni,Managing Editor, Technology, NDTV. These "Men of Substance" will pledge to support the cause.

Also, our NGO partner SLAP (Street Level Awareness Program) which is committed to raising awareness towards gender based violence, is going to address the issue at root level on "how to raise abuse proof children". SLAP is India's first and only NGO to work on Rape Prevention using Street Fight training techniques (used by Israeli, US and Indian army). SLAP was founded in the wake of the unfortunate Nirbhaya incident and ever since, SLAP has trained 2000 + women on personal safety, added Poonam.
