Examining a report by Australian air crash investigators, experts say that crucial equipment in the missing Malaysian Airlines plane MH370 may have been tampered with to avoid radar connectivity.

A power interruption on the plane resulted in an attempt to log-on to a satellite by the plane's satellite data unit, reports The Mirror.

According to investigators, a log on request is not a common phenomenon and occurs due to particular reasons that include power outage, software failure, and loss of link or critical systems.

Power interruption could be a deliberate act to avoid radar, hijack or sabotage the aircraft, said Peter Marosszeky, Aviation expert from the University of New South Wales.

The final log-on request may have been caused by shortage of fuel that ultimately made the plane plunge into the Indian Ocean.
