French tennis player Michael Llodra has said that his US Open first-round opponent Andy Murray is like a 'sweet wine'.

According to the Daily Star, the Wimbledon champion will begin his defence of his US Open title against Llodra, who is planning to become a full-time wine producer with his doubles partner Arnaud Clement when he retires next year.

The report further said that it could be the last chance of Llodra, who once hid naked in a locker to surprise a rival, to win at the Flushing Meadows against Murray, who has beaten the Frenchman in all three of their clashes at the tournament.

Stating that the Scot is like a sweet wine like a Sauternes, Llodra, who has a wine bar in France and owns a vineyard in Burgundy, said that it is because it feels impossible to move Murray or win the point when he is up against him, even though it seems like Murray does not have a secret weapon when he watches him playing.

Llodra further said that he himself would be like a wine from the Rhone Valley like a Cote-Rotie, which may be good some years while bad in the others.

Meanwhile, Llodra expressed his nervousness over his first round match against Murray, and is aware that his work will be cut out for him given that Murray has had a good year with his Wimbledon win and had also won last year at the US Open, saying that it would also be tough for him as he has just come back from a knee injury.
