If you had been waiting for a virtual reality (VR) enabled headset for the Xbox, the wait just became futile.

Microsoft's chief marketing officer of gaming Mike Nichols said in an interview that the company does not have any plans for Xbox in VR or mixed reality, The Verge reported.

The company had promised back in 2016 that high-end VR will be supported in the upcoming Project Scorpio, which did not happen. It is also speculated that mixed reality content will be arriving on Xbox by the end of 2018.
