The 'Stranger Things' actress Millie Bobby Brown left Twitter after being bullied by LGBTQ 'in-joke'.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 14-year-old actress has deleted her Twitter account after users posted memes depicting her as homophobic.

It is notable that the actress is a firm supporter of LGBTQ community.

The media indicated that the constant harassment and bullying drove the young actress away from the micro-blogging site. The hashtag #TakedownMillieBobbyBrown, along with memes, was making rounds on Twitter, depicting her as violently homophobic.

The hashtag's origin can be traced back to a tweet from a twitter account of "Kelsey Fiona", in which she claimed that Brown ripped off her hijab at the airport, back in November 2017. There was no evidence for the same and the account was later suspended.

Many supporters came to her defense and supported her.

One of the users tweeted, "Wowwwwwww humanity really is the worst,"Y'all bullied Millie Bobby Brown into deactivating her Twitter? Hope you feel real good about tearing down a 14-year-old (who's more successful than you'll ever be).
