Mischa Barton has finally opened up about the details surrounding her meltdown and association with drugs.
The 27-year-old actress, who could count Hollywood starlets like Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie as some of her closest friends, told People magazine that she believed in working hard and partying hard, the Mirror reported.
She said that her troubles went out of hand when 'The O.C.' finished, as she was arrested for driving under the influence and possessing marijuana, which lead to a court ordered rehab visit and seeing a sobriety coach.
Barton said that when she was admitted to a psych ward under an involuntary hold by her worried parents, it was a full-on break down for her.
The actress now claims to have put her past far behind and said that she has learned a lot from her experiences and is much stronger now.
