Mischa Barton has sued her mother for withholding the actress' career earnings and also for exploiting her fame.

'The Sixth Sense' actress claimed that her photographer mother and talent manager was actually a greedy stage mother as she lied to her about her income on a film called 'The Hoarder', but when the actress found out from the production company her salary was higher than the told amount, TMZ.com reported.

The 29-year-old English-Irish actress added that her mother took the difference for herself and in addition to this also took a 10 percent as her management fee.

The actress said that her mother entered her into endorsement contracts without telling her and launched enterprises like a Mischa Barton handbag line and Mischa Barton fashion boutique in London without compensating her daughter and kept all the profits for herself.

Mischa's mother even rigged the paperwork to give herself co-ownership of the 7.8 million dollars worth Beverly Hills mansion and then kicked her out of her own home.
