A senior Malaysian aviation source has reportedly revealed that the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 had deviated from its planned route then soared to near its peak altitude before disappearing.
The source reportedly revealed that the commercial airliner, before it disappeared from the radar screens on March 8, had changed its course from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing by turning leftward over water while it was still inside Vietnamese airspace.
The source said that the aircraft, after changing course, had climbed to 39,000 feet, just short of it's 41,000-foot safe operating limit, and maintained that altitude for about 20 minutes over the Malaysian Peninsula before beginning to descend, CNN reported.
Investigators have been trying to piece together bits of information for weeks in order to get the answers as relatives of the 239 people aboard the missing plane are pressurizing them, the report added.
