Seems like 'Modern Family' creator Steve Levitan's divorce case is getting murkier.
Krista, his wife, who filed for divorce in January, went to court trying to get an order blocking him from coming near the family house, reports TMZ.com.
The 53-year-old director now claims her lawyer has adopted a 'scorched earth' policy that is ruining his reputation.
Though Levitan has confirmed proper split of the money, Krista is claiming that he had been abusive at the family house and hence, asking for a restraining order.
In his legal document, the director said, "I have never assaulted my wife. I have never threatened to assault my wife. These allegations are abusive, false and an attempt to smear my name and reputation.
