Modi says his government will be dedicated to welfare of tribal communities, slams Congress

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi alleged that the Congress was ignoring the issues faced by the people, and said that his government when formed will be devoted to the welfare of tribal communities.

Addressing an election rally in Mandla, Modi praised the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Chouhan for devoting his time for the service of the poor.

"Two months before, elections took place in Madhya Pradesh.our party candidate Shivraj (Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan) reached every village (in Madhya Pradesh), met public and told people about the work he has done. If any work was remaining pending, he even informed public about that. And, that's what democracy is all about. But, Congress' arrogance has reached a peak. They don't consider being answerable to the public as their responsibility", said Modi.

Modi said the Congress has always ignored the tribals and that it was only under former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's rule that a separate ministry was formed for tribals.

"Congress which is busy with the politics of vote-bank, did not even think about the tribals. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first Prime Minister in the country who formed a separate ministry, appointed separate ministers and proposed a separate budget for the welfare of tribals. But, Congress leaders did not even think about the tribals even after fifty years of rule," he said.

He also asserted that in BJP's rule no section of society would be ignored and that the party resolves to make the best possible efforts for the welfare of tribals.

"Our government which will be formed in Delhi will assure that welfare reaches the tribals, the tribals receive good education and their youth gets employment. We resolve that we will form a government which makes all possible efforts to achieve these dreams," he said.

Modi said Congress has always been silent over its involvement in corruption cases. He promised to work for a 'Congress-free India'.
