Former Pakistan Test batsman Mohammad Yousuf has dismissed suggestions that he was offered the head coach role from the Afghanistan Cricket Board (AFC).
Afghanistan's head coach post has been vacant since former Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq joined his country's cricket board as the chief selector of the national team.
Reflecting on the news, the 41-year-old admitted that his agent had applied for the post, but added that he has not received any offer from the AFC, the Express Tribune reported.
Yousuf, who made 90 Test appearances for Pakistan, holds the record of maximum runs in the format in a calendar year with a tally of 1788.
He also represented his country in 244 ODIs, where he smashed 15 centuries and 64 half-centuries at an average of 41.71.
