Molestation against Mumbai TV journalist deplorable: Raj Babbar

Congress leader Raj Babbar on Tuesday called for taking stringent action against those miscreants who had allegedly molested a television journalist. He also called for examining the reasons behind what triggered such an act.

"This is not only an unfortunate incident, but also a serious issue. Hence, it calls for the administration to urgently take this issue seriously. Those miscreants, who misbehaved with the television journalist, must be brought to justice if they have committed any mistake. But, we must also look into the fact as to why those people who had misbehaved with the television journalist had committed such an act in the first place," Babbar said.

Police on Monday arrested four men for allegedly molesting a woman journalist working with a news channel and assaulting a cameraman who was accompanying her.

The incident happened on Monday in suburban Andheri when the journalist and the cameraman were returning in their office vehicle from a shoot and the accused had allegedly blocked the road.
