England cricket team captain Eoin Morgan has said that the team is growing in confidence ahead of the World Cup, after they reached the final of the Carlton Mid Tri-series tournament in Australia.
England beat India by three wickets in Perth on Friday to set up a decider against Australia on Sunday.
Morgan said that they had a bad run before this tour but added that now they are winning games, insisting that winning on Sunday would be huge, the BBC reported.
Morgan claimed that they made things very hard for themselves, which they tend to do, but added that the guys were ruthless in the end.
Having lost twice to the hosts and beaten India, England needed to win at the WACA to reach the final. England dismissed the defending world champions for 200, and went on to win the game with 19 balls to spare.
Morgan said that the bowing as a whole was really good, adding that his side took advantage of the extra bit of bounce and the uneven conditions, bowling a lot of cross-seam balls. He admitted that in the past they haven't adapted that well, so that's a big positive.
Morgan conceded that the stumble at the start of their batting was a problem but the fact the guys James Taylor and Josh Buttler were ruthless in chasing down the target was huge.
The skipper said that in the past England has stumbled over the line but Taylor and Buttler were exceptional.
