Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday said that most rapes take place in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
"Sabse zyadaa rape hotein hain, Delhi toh chhod dijiye wahan toh rojana hota hai, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan mein....Sabse zyada rape ho rahein hai Bharatiya Janata Party ki sarkar Madhya Pradesh aur Rajasthan mein (Apart from Delhi, most rapes are taking place in BJP ruled states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.)," Singh said at a function here.
Mulayam Singh was speaking at the launch of 26 new projects by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
Earlier, Mulayam had drawn flak by making a controversial remark that, while one person commits a rape, four are named in the complaint, though rape by four persons is 'practically' not possible.
