A woman along with her daughter was found charred to death in Amritsar's Darshan Avenue.
The bodies of a mother-daughter duo were recovered from their house in Darshan Nagar locality of Amritsar on Tuesday.
According to reports, only those two were present in the house at the time of the incident and the neighbours were the first one to notice the smoke coming out of the house, following which they informed the police and fire brigade.
The police officials said they have initiated an investigation into the matter.
The cause of the incident could not be ascertained.
The bodies were later sent for post-mortem.
