Jose Mourinho has reportedly signed a three-year deal with Manchester United ahead of being formally announced as the club's new manager.
According to the Guardian, Mourinho and his agent Jorge Mendes have been in negotiations with Ed Woodward, United's executive vice-chairman, throughout the week which culminated in the Portuguese manager inking a deal with the Old Trafford club on Thursday.
Mourinho, who was sacked by Chelsea in December last year, had been widely seen as the favourite to replace Louis van Gaal, who came under constant criticism amid United's failure to qualify for the Champions League.
According to reports, the 53-year-old will have a minimum of 150 million pounds to spend on players, with former Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic being increasingly linked with a move to Old Trafford.
