Mourinho not pleased with Man U despite Celta Vigo win

Despite Marcus Rashford firing Manchester United to a first-leg advantage against Celta Vigo, manager Jose Mourinho has said that he was not at all satisfied with the result of Europa League semi-final tie.

Striker Marcus Rashford's superb free-kick in the second-half helped his side beat Celta Vigo 1-0 at Balaidos to gain the upper hand in their last-four clash.

In-form Rashford, who also scored a dramatic extra-time winner against Anderlecht in the quarter-finals, scored a bending a free-kick into the corner in the 67th minute to ensure United take an away goal and a massive advantage going back to Old Trafford in a week's time for the semi-final second leg.

Mourinho, however, said that although he was happy with his side's performance against Celta Vigo, he does not feel the same way about the result.

"I am very pleased with the performance but not with the result. We played well enough to have [the] result closed but we have to go and play at Old Trafford. At half-time [it] should have been three or at least two, but the result is open," goal.com quoted Mourinho as saying.

While United hold the advantage going into next Friday's second leg at Old Trafford, Mourinho believes the tie could have been already over had his side made full use of their chances.

"We tried to win the match. We missed chances but the team played well, they were compact against a team who are difficult to play against. Let's hope Old Trafford want us to win because when Old Trafford wants it, we win," the Portuguese manager added.

With the Jose Mourinho's side outside the Premier League's top four, the Europa League perhaps represents their best chance of earning a place in next season's Champions League.

United will next take on Arsenal in their Premier League clash on Sunday, while Celta will lock horn with Malaga on the same day.
