Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has blamed his team's inconsistency for the shocking 2-1 defeat against Crystal Palace in their Premier League tie at Stamford Bridge.

Bakary Sako put Palace ahead in the second half before Radamel Falcao came off the bench to equalise.

Subsequently, Joel Ward scored the decisive goal nine minutes before the final whistle gave Palace their first win at Stamford Bridge since 1982.

Reflecting on his team's performance, Mourinho said that they didn't deserve to lose, adding that although they created lots of chances, it becomes difficult when the team is not consistent, the Daily Express reported.

Mourinho, however, applauded Palace's performance, saying that Alan Pardew's men gave them a very difficult game.

With the win, Palace has moved up to the second place in the table behind leaders Manchester City while Chelsea dropped to 13th.
