Moyes says Man U not to make any new signings in transfer window following Mata's arrival

Manchester United manager David Moyes has said that the club will not be making any further signings in the January transfer window following the arrival of Spain international Juan Mata.

With some Premier League clubs scrabbling around for last minute deals, Moyes was in a relaxed mood ahead of his side's trip to Stoke City on Saturday after securing Mata from Chelsea for 37.1 million pounds last week.

According to Sport24, Moyes said that there would not be any new signings and reiterated his statement that United would not much business at the start of January.

Expressing his delight with Mata, who made his debut in United's 2-0 win over Cardiff City, Moyes said that the footballer has turned out to be everything that he thought as he settled in quickly and played well against Cardiff, which was important because United wanted him to make a difference straight away.

There may not be any more incomings at Old Trafford, but Moyes has let 21-year-old winger Wilfried Zaha join Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season, saying that he felt Cardiff was the right choice for him to show what he can do in the Premier League.
