Moyes to remove Man U fans' 'panic' by turning around 'depressing' form

Manchester United boss David Moyes has advised the club's fans not to panic, saying that he will turn around the club's depressing early-season form.

The reigning Premier League champions have lost three of their opening six league games to slump to 12th place - their worst start to a campaign for 24 years, the Mirror reports.

However, ahead of Wednesday's tricky Champions League tie away to Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine, Moyes urged the club's fans not to panic and insisted that he will ensure that United is soon back in the hunt for trophies, adding that he had been in similar situations at his former clubs Everton and Preston North End.

The Scot, who replaced Sir Alex Ferguson as United's manager, also said that he will continue with his methods like before and is sure that he will get results with them, although another comprehensive defeat, against the Ukrainian champions would serve only to increase the pressure on the beleaguered Moyes.

The report mentioned that the last time United came to Ukraine, they swept aside Dynamo Kiev 4-2 en route to winning the 2008 European Cup Final.

But Moyes said that he could overcome his early problems at the club by getting to know his players better and becoming more familiar with the unique demands of managing United.
