President Pranab Mukherjee will visit Jharkhand tomorrow where he will attend the annual convocation of Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.
The Indian School of Mines was formally opened on December 9, 1926 by Lord Irwin to address the need for trained manpower related to mining activities in India with disciplines of Mining and Applied Geology.
In 1967, it was granted the status of a deemed university under UGC Act, 1956.
