President Pranab Mukherjee will witness a ceremonial change over of the Army Guard Battalion stationed in the Rashtrapati Bhavan on April 9.
The function will take place at 5.45 p.m. and on the occasion, Mukherjee will review the old and new Guard as well as address them. The President's Bodyguards will also present a musical ride.
Different infantry units of the Army function as the Army Guard in Rashtrapati Bhavan by rotation and are changed once every three years.
The 28 Madras Regiment is leaving Rashtrapati Bhavan after completion of their tenure. They will be replaced by 8 JAK LI (Siachen).
