Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa on Friday termed the harassment of two minor sisters by a bus conductor in Muktsar, Punjab, as 'unfortunate', and pointed out that all such incidents were associated with transport companies owned by Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, his son Sukhbir, or their close associates.
"It is an unfortunate incident. This is the home district of Prakash Singh Badal.
If this is happening in the home district of Prakash Singh Badal, what would be happening in the rest of Punjab? The real reason is that this transport company belongs to the right hand persons of Sukhbir Singh Badal and Prakash Singh Badal," Bajwa told ANI.
Bajwa further said the people of Punjab have suffered and demanded the resignation of Badal.
"Incidents are happening in all transport companies belonging either to the Badals' or very close associate of theirs. This is the third or fourth incident in a row, where Dalit girls were molested. I want to appeal to Prakash Singh Badalji with folded hands that Punjab has had enough of you. It is time the Badals' left," he added.
The bus is run by a company owned by Akali Dal leader Hardeep Singh Dhillon.
