Murray to face either Nadal or Federer in 'blockbuster' Wimbledon semi-final

British tennis ace Andy Murray has been reportedly drawn to face the winner of a blockbuster Wimbledon quarter-final between Swiss tennis star Roger Federer and Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the tournament's semi-final.

According to the Mirror, although Federer and Nadal have won 29 Grand Slam titles between them and contested three consecutive finals at Wimbledon, but Nadal's long injury lay-off after his shock defeat last year saw him seeded down at No.5 this year.

Murray, whose first opponent on Monday is Benjamin Becker, the German he beat in straight sets last week, has said that he is not worried by the 'nightmare' prospect of playing against either Nadal, Federer or Djokovic.

Stating that he is ready to face Becker, Murray praised the German, saying that he has a good serve and is a good grass court player, which he saw while playing against Becker at Nottingham and in the quarter-finals at Queen's.

The Scot insisted that there was a lot of tennis to be played before any potential clashes in Wimbledon, and predicted an 'exciting' Wimbledon, with the Big Four reunited at a Grand Slam for the first time in a year.

Murray, who also may face fellow Brit James Ward in the second round if Ward beats Lu Yen-Hsun of China, said that he is excited at the possibility of playing Ward, and hoped that he got through, adding that he has not played against another British player in a Tour level match except for Tim Henman.

Meanwhile, Federer, who lost the Olympic final to Murray a month after the Wimbledon final, further said that he thinks that Murray believes even more this year that he can win, given his performances at the Wimbledon, the Olympics and the US Open.

Stating that it is necessary to beat the best to win such tournaments, Federer, who won his first Wimbledon title in 2003, said that a player has to be confident enough to win, adding that for now, he is just focused on his first round game against Romanian Victor Hanescu.

The report said that while Djokovic avoided the rest of the Big Four in the top half of the draw, seven-time winner Federer has been slated to meet Nadal, then Murray in the semis before a possible meeting with the Serb in the final.
