Murshidabad temple food poisoning, 300 residents fall sick

In a likely case of food poisoning, around 300 residents of Murshidabad district in West Bengal fell sick after consuming food served in a temple.

According to reports people who ate the food served as a part of the temple offering started vomiting and started showing dysenteric symptoms on Tuesday.

People suffering with stomach infection were admitted to a local hospital and Murshidabad medical college.

The affected included a large number of women and children, who were seen resting on the floor of the hospital.
