'My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2' is slated for a March 2016 release.
The Universal project, which is a follow-up to hit 2002 indie rom-com by writer-actress Nia Vardalos, will compete with Warner Bros' much anticipated 'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice,' Deadline.com has reported.
The Kirk Jones directed film will be produced by Rita Wilson and Playtone partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, while Paul Brooks and Steven Shareshian return to executive produce alongside Vardalos and Scott Niemeyer.
