Kim Cattrall recently shared her own personal journey through menopause, which was quiet more dramatic than that of her character Samantha Jones in the movie 'Sex and the City.'
The 58-year-old actress said that her first hot flash was nothing like Samantha's, as it was quite earth shaking, like being put in a vat of boiling water, the Huffington Post reported.
She's a pretty diligent actress and so she wanted to portray this part of her life very truthfully in the movie, which is why she went to her doctor at the time to know the symptoms and make it look more real, she further added.
The 'Meet Monica Velour' actress has now become a spokesperson for 'Tune into Menopause,' campaign, designed to inspire women to embrace this time in their life.
