Social activist and former Bollywood actress, Nafisa Ali on Thursday demanded immediate implementation of the OROP scheme for ex-servicemen.
"It is important to hear the "mann ki baat" of our servicemen, else the nation won't forgive Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Nafisa Ali said.
"SC (supreme court) takes suo moto action, to protect the life of the people who are fasting," she added.
OROP scheme has been a long-standing demand of nearly three-million ex-servicemen and war widows in the country.
It seeks to ensure that a uniform pension is paid to defence personnel, who retire at the same rank with the same length of service irrespective of their date of retirement.
