Naomi Watts walked around with a cocktail stick wedged in her mouth as she prepared to play Princess Diana in the new biopic in a bid to alter her features and take on the tragic royal's facial features, it has been revealed.
The actress decided to alter the physical structure of her face for the role and went to great lengths to become more like Diana and less like Naomi.
She told Empire magazine that she did it not just to appear like her, but to alter the tone of her voice and the way the princess moved her face, Contactmusic reported.
She said that it's completely opposite of how she moved her face. While Watts moves her face on the right-hand side and Diana moved hers to the left.
She said that she had to walk around with a cocktail stick in her mouth to paralyse the right-hand side of her face for weeks.
