Negotiations for seat sharing are common, says BJD leader Jay Panda

Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Jay Panda on Monday said negotiations are very common in any kind of coalition between parties.

"I think such negotiation are typical in any coalition and we are seeing that both sides that some both sides are having difficulties coming to an agreement on seats to be shared," Panda told ANI.

"I would just say that they would have to work it out among themselves. As representative of a party which is not active in Bihar I don't want to comment on how there are going to work it out, it is upto them," he added.

The term of the 243-member Bihar Assembly comes to an end on November 29. The polls in the state will begin on October 12 and conclude on November 5. Counting of votes will take place on November 8.

Commenting on the recent death of a seven year old and his parents in Delhi, Panda described it as shocking, as dengue is a very treatable disease.

"This is very difficult for me particularly, because they (the family) are from my constituency. I have taken up the matter in public and I am taking up the matter with authorities in Delhi," he said.
