An extra on the set of Nicholas Stoller's directorial 'Neighbors 2' was fired after he posted movie's lead actor Zac Efron's picture on social media.

According to a source, an extra took to Instagram to share the 28-year-old actor's pic alongside message, "Thanks for the weed Zac Efron! BTW it's only a prop, people", the Daily Mail reports.

However, the extra explained that his post was only a joke.

It is being said that the 'High School Musical' star had no role in kicking the extra out from the film.

The upcoming comedy flick, which also stars Selena Gomez, Seth Rogen, Dave Franco among others, will hit USA theaters 20 May 2016.
