Sushil Koirala will be fielded as the Nepal Congress prime ministerial candidate in the upcoming election.
The decision was taken after a party meeting was held between the top three party leaders, including party president Sushil Koirala, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and Vice-President Ram Chandra Paude, reported The Himalayan Times
The Central Working Committee of the party had entrusted these three leaders to take a final decision, whether to field the party's own candidate or lend support to CPN-UML's candidate, K P Sharma Oli.
The candidates have to file their nomination by this evening.
