A new book on Apple that focuses on the company in post-Steve Jobs era has reportedly claimed that new products lined up for future release aren't going to help the tech giant gain back its glorious past.

Author of "Haunted Empire: Apple After Steve Jobs," Yukari Kane, expressed skepticism about the rumoured Apple TV's success and questioned the need for an iWatch.

According to news.com.au, Kane further concluded that it is going to be difficult for Apple be as innovative as before.

The book, which also compares Jobs with CEO Tim Cook, hasn't seen much of acceptance from the current boss, who reportedly called the book 'nonsense.'

Cook recently said that the book fails to capture Apple, Jobs, or anyone else in the company.

However, Kane has insisted that Cook is 'the right man for the job' in Jobs' absence and said that the tech giant was never going to bring in an another 'disruptive innovator' to replace Jobs.

The former Wall Street Journal reporter thinks that everyone at Apple needs to admit that Jobs was gone and Apple was in 'a new stage of life,' the report added.
