New Manchester United boss David Moyes has started to imprints his own identity on the club by wielding the axe on former boss Sir Alex Ferguson's backroom staff at United.
The former Everton boss booted out No.2 Mike Phelan, who had been Ferguson's right-hand man since 2008, and goalkeeping coach Eric Steele, as he reportedly wants his own assistants in Old Trafford, the Mirror reports.
The report further said that Moyes plans to bring first-team coach Jimmy Lumsden, to whom he is reportedly very close, and former England goalkeeper Chris Woods with him from Everton.
According to Moyes, Woods is the best in his field, adding that he is looking towards appointing his own members of the coaching staff at some point.
The Red Devils have yet to make an official approach, but it is understood Everton will not stand in their way.
Meanwhile, Andy Cole has warned David Moyes has to win a trophy in his first season to keep Manchester United fans happy, the report added.
