Tinder is considered one of the best dating websites for single people, however, a new research has suggested that 30 percent of Tinder users are married and another 12 percent are also in a relationship.

The company's CEO Sean Rad said that Tinder was not just a dating app anyway as it was a "social discovery platform", the BBC reported.

According to GlobalWebIndex's research, they found a third of tinder users were married.

In a statement, Tinder said that they get hundreds of success stories emailed to them every week about a new engagement or a marriage Tinder was a social network and these were many uses for it not just dating.
