British boxer Tyson Fury has claimed that he always knew he would be able to end Wladimir Klitschko's nine-year reign as the heavyweight champion.
Fury claimed the WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO heavyweight titles by unanimous points decision in Dusseldorf on Sunday. The judges scored the fight 115-112, 115-112, 116-111 in favor of the Britain.
A delighted Fury said that he knew all along that he could win the fight, and claimed that he saw the fear of defeat in the eyes of his Ukrainian opponent before the showdown, the Guardian reported.
Fury improved his record to 25 wins with 18 knockouts and handed Klitschko his first defeat in 11 years.
