Brazilian captain Neymar has been ruled out from rest of the Copa America after he was given a four-match suspension by the South American Football Confederation.
Earlier, the striker was given a one-match provisional ban after he was shown a red card after Brazil's 0-1 defeat against Columbia, thus ruling him out of the game against Venezuela.
The Confederation reviewed the case on Friday and increased the punishment, the BBC reported.
Neymar was shown a red card after kicking a ball at Colombia's Pablo Armero in frustration after the final whistle before appearing to head butt another player who confronted him.
In the scenes of chaos after the match, Columbia's Carlos Bacca, who was also sent off for a disciplinary heave, has been given a two- match suspension.
Neymar, who was also fined USD10,000, can appeal the punishment. But unless the ban is reduced it means that he has played his last game of the tournament, with Brazil having a maximum of only four games left.
