After a lot of struggle in the market on Tuesday, the Nifty, Sensex ended marginally higher.
The Sensex ended with gains as it traded up 45.12 points or 0.2 percent at 25330.49, and the Nifty was up 10.65 points or 0.1 percent at 7714.90.
BHEL, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Steel and Hindalo were among top gainers while Dr Reddy's, ITC, Adani Ports, HUL and Wipro were losers in the Sensex.
Religare Enterprises announced fund raising of Rs. 500 crore on a private placement basis by issuing non-convertible debentures. The decision was taken at company's Investment and Borrowing Committee meeting of the Board held today.
The company said in a regulatory filing with the BSE that it has approved the raising of funds for an amount up to Rs. 500 crore through issue of unsecured unlisted non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on private placement basis.
