Nigella Lawson has hired Britain's top divorce attorney, who had previously acted as Paul McCartney's lawyer, following her split from estranged husband Charles Saatchi.
The celebrity chef has turned to Fiona Shackleton, who was famously drenched by McCartney's former wife Heather Mills after she lost her case for a huge payout from the 'Beatles' star, the Sun reported.
According to the friends of the mum-of-two, Lawson contacted Shackleton, who is also her cousin, shortly after learning that Saatchi, 70, had declared their divorce in a Sunday tabloid.
A source told the publication that Lawson, 53, never wanted it to come to this, but Shackleton has been a rock of support and she is glad to have her on her side.
The insider asserted that the cookbook author is soft so she needs someone strong representing her and they don't come any tougher than Fiona.
Shackleton, who is known for her charming exterior with a shrewd and no-nonsense courtroom style, also represented Prince Charles in his split from Diana as well as Madonna when she broke up with director Guy Ritchie.
