Nikki Haley to run for re-election
South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has confirmed she is running for reelection.
Haley will officially make her re-election announcement at a rally in Greenville later this month, her spokesman tweeted.
The rally will be organized on August 26, and high-profile Republican Governors Rick Perry of Texas, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Scott Walker of Wisconsin will also be seen, Politico reports.
According to the report, Vincent Sheheen, a Democratic state senator who challenged Haley in 2010, has also announced he will run for governor again.
