Three years after it hit the shelves, Nintendo 3DS has finally been hacked, a report said.

A hacker called, Smealum, has released an exploit that allows 3DS owners to run an unauthorized code called, "homebrew," on their devices, reported Tech Crunch.

The report said that the exploit relies on a bug in a QR code reader built into a previously almost unheard of game called Cubic Ninja.

After the name of the game was disclosed by hackers, its price has skyrocketed to 40-70 dollars.
