Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday countered Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his beef remark, saying beef exports have seen a rise of over 15 percent during the his (Modi's) first year in office.
"Modi ji is double speaking at his best...Beef exports went up by 15.4 percent in his first year as PM, yet he tries to make beef an issue in Bihar elections," Nitish said in a tweet.
Prime Minister Modi yesterday stoked a controversy by pulling up RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav over his "Hindus also eat beef remark", saying the former Bihar chief minister insulted the entire Yaduvanshi community.
