Union Communications and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday lashed out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD boss Lalu Prasad Yadav, saying the duo failed to bring industries in the state during their tenure in the state.
"They are criticising the Prime Minister for special package allotment, but they (Lalu and Nitish) failed to bring a single industry in the state during their tenure," said Prasad.
"They couldn't bring single private university in the state," he added.
Prasad alleged that Nitish and Lalu are disturbed as they know that they would not get the opportunity to use the money allotted to Bihar as 'special package'.
"They are criticising the special package because they know they won't get an opportunity to use this money and hence they are disturbed," he said.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had earlier lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his 'special package' for Bihar and accused him of creating hype and making noise without any substance.
"We dissected the special package and found out the truth. It's nothing but a mere repackaging of old schemes, appropriation of pre-approved allocations for the old ones and continued contributions to ongoing schemes," he said.
