A New Zealand Cricket (NZC) spokesman has reportedly said that no matches played in New Zealand and no matches involving a New Zealand national side are being investigated.

This came following revelations that a current international cricket captain was among those approached by corrupt players to participate in spot-fixing.

Former New Zealand batsman Lou Vincent has confessed to the ICC's anti-corruption unit, giving detailed evidence about matches in at least five countries that were targeted for fixing.

According to Stuff.co.nz, NZC said their position had not changed since they commented in December about match fixing allegations in relation to former New Zealand players.

A spokesperson said as far as they understood, no games played in New Zealand were being investigated and no matches involving a New Zealand national side were being investigated.
