President Barack Obama has said reporters praise his economic proposals as great and tell him they are all good and solid ideas.
Obama made the remarks in a speech on Wednesday in Illinois, which was focused on the economy.
He said it is interesting that a lot of reporters say that these are all good ideas, but these reporters add that but the ideas will not be passed through Congress, as Republicans won't agree with him.
According to the Washington Times, Obama said behind-the-scenes, these reporters tell a different story, one that's much more complimentary in tone.
He said that the reporters do this as they worry they'll face swift political retaliation for cooperating with him.
At the same time, Obama said not all reporters give him the same fawning treatment.
He added that some, with more free-market ideals disagree with his economic policies all the time.
