United States President Barack Obama has said that the U.S. troops fighting Islamic State militants in Iraq will not have a combat mission.
Obama said that the U.S. will not commit to fighting another war in Iraq, reported the BBC.
The U.S. President's comments came one day after a top U.S. general said that troops in Iraq may have a combat mission if current airstrikes strategy failed.
The U.S. has conducted 174 airstrikes against IS militants since mid of August.
U.S. forces destroyed two IS armed vehicles and many united in south-west of Baghdad in recent airstrikes on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Obama's strategy also called for an international coalition of 40 countries to fight the militants group.
Obama also said, regarding the combat mission, that the U.S. could not do something for Iraqis that they should rather do themselves.
