President Barack Obama and the first lady Michelle Obama will greet Pope Francis personally when he will arrive for a historic visit in the U.S.

The White House spokesman Eric Schultz said that the 54-year-old President along with First lady will welcome Pope to the White House and will discuss about the commitments made to a wide range of issues, The People magazine reports.

The spokesman continued that the President will make the rare trip to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, following the Pontiff first U.S. visit.

Pope Francis, 78, has confirmed his visit to the United States in November.
