At a chic cocktail reception in a private villa on Hibiscus Island, Omega and guest Alessandra Ambrosio raise a glass to the Swiss watchmaker's refined new collection of timepieces.
With stunning views of the Miami skyline and Omega's beautiful new seamaster collection on display, guests and media were treated to visual feasts along with their cocktails at Omega's special celebration of Aqua Terra. The nautical-themed event, which took place in the minimalist splendour of a private Miami villa, included a DJ to give the gathering a casual house-party atmosphere.
The new collection of Aqua Terra timepieces for men and women embrace the spirit of adventure and pay tribute to the brand's rich maritime legacy, and the ocean played a major role in Omega's new advertising campaign for Aqua Terra, which features Alessandra Ambrosio enjoying an idyllic summer's day on board an elegant yacht in the Med.
"The new watches represent a combination of beauty and precision. Alessandra looks so confident at sea, and it goes without saying very beautiful, so we're very happy that she is the face of our new models," said President and CEO of Omega, Raynald Aeschlimann.
Describing her experience of making the campaign, Alessandra Ambrosio called it "one of the fun modelling jobs I've done" and went on to say that she loved the new Aqua Terra Ladies' models.
"They have a very classic refined style, but when you look closer you discover amazing feminine details."
Earlier in the day, Raynald Aeschlimann accompanied Alessandra Ambrosio on a visit to Omega's boutique in Miami's popular Design District, a thriving area of the city very much in step with Omega's drive to create more contemporary, streamlined styles.
Updated both inside and out, Omega has transformed the design of each new Aqua Terra timepiece with an added edge of style and a refreshing new look.
The Ladies' collection features a new symmetrical case design, to achieve a seamless integration with the feminine-styled bracelet; and a range of different dials, including mother-of-pearl, glossy or shimmer effect.
Notable changes to the men's collection include a teak pattern on the dial, which now runs horizontally as opposed to vertically, refined aesthetics and symmetrical case.
All timepieces in the men's collection are certified master chronometers, tested at the industry's highest level.
