Liverpool hero Steven Gerrard has urged his Liverpool team-mate and friend Luis Suarez to chase his Champions League dream wisely and follow his own example of being an ultimate one-club man.
According to the Mirror, the latest offer to tempt Gerrard away from Anfield was made less than a year ago and was met with the same response as the other attempts and it is this example that he has offered as evidence to Arsenal target Suarez, to persuade his teammate to stay.
Gerrard said that he had a chance to move to a Champions League club last year, but there was no temptation because he had been through enough of it before, and that was the message for Luis.
The Reds player said that Suarez will get many more chances to move on if that was what he wanted to do further down the line, but a player of his level and quality deserved to play in one of the best teams in world football in Barcelona or Madrid.
